Inventory levels across major U.S. metro areas continued to trend upward in February 2026, signaling a sustained improvement in housing supply. The Houston metro area remained the top market, with 54,833 homes for sale, representing a 14.3% year-over-year increase.The Dallas metro area followed with 46,962 active listings, reflecting a 10.1% annual growth, while the Atlanta metro area recorded 45,289 homes on the market, showing a 3.9% YoY increase.The San Antonio metro area reported 25,265 homes for sale, up 7.7% year-over-year, indicating continued expansion. Meanwhile, the New York metro area had 24,135 active listings, with a 2.3% increase, pointing to a more gradual rise compared to other metros.
